Born in 1967 in Georgetown, Guyana South America. At the age of nine she came to the United States and settled in Brooklyn New York. At about the age of eleven she had one of her art pieces displayed at Pennsylvania State University. This inspired her to peruse art as a future career.
Richlin attended Fashion Industries H. S. and Clara Barton H. S. While in high school she attended art classes at the Brooklyn Museum. In 1987 thru 1990 she attended Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, N. Y. she studied graphic design. During the summer she interned at Eric Mower and Associates for two years in Inroads. In 1990 she attended the School of visual Arts graphics arts program in New York City.
In 1991 she married artist, Weldon Ryan, started a family, and a small business Rich and Well graphics. Then she worked as the art director of IDD Magazine for Thompson Financial. In 2004 her husband retired from NYPD and they packed the family up and moved to Palm Coast Florida.
This was the perfect opportunity to focus on art. At the same time she continued working as a graphic designer, although work was scarce. She created Greenup Magazine a business partnership with Global Greenup, LL.C, and Voice Youth Magazine for the Florida Endowment Foundation; and was the creative art director for OVT magazine. With her husband she curated art exhibits for Bethune-Cookman University Preforming Arts center and Visual Gallery, and the Yvonne Scarlett-Golden Cultural and Educational art Center’s gallery.
Richlin has exhibited her art at the Flagler county art league, The Hollingsworth Gallery, Bethune-Cookman University PAC, Yvonne Scarlett-Golden Cultural and Educational art Center’s gallery, SALVO Art Project, Clover's Fine Art Gallery, The Ritz Theater and Museum, and Calypso Fine Art Gallery.
